Extreme Fun Center

It is always nice to be active once in a while during dates. Especially for those people who are couped up all day at work. So dress up in some athletic clothes grab your date or significant other, call a few other couples and go to an extreme fun center or sports complex.

A place I used to live by was called Extreme Sports Center. This place had fun and unique activities like padded suit sumo wrestling, gladiator fighting, laser tag, obstacle courses, and video games. It was perfect; if you and your date are in a competitive mood, challenge your group of friends to a few of the games that are offered. Maybe you could have a prize for the winning couple.

These types of places are usually not very expensive either, so it won’t break your budget. This makes a really fun group date activity, or you can even do it with just the two of you.

Some other related places are trampoline parks; one near where I live now is called Jumpstreet. It is basically a warehouse with a ton of different trampolines to play on.

What you need for this extreme fun center group date idea:

My commentary on this group date idea:

A few years ago, we got together a big group of people with a nice mix of men and women. We weren’t paired up, so it wasn’t really a “date,” per se, but it was fun just the same.

We went to a place called “Extreme Fun Center” to test our skills against each other. It was super fun watching my friends get dressed up in the sumo outfits and wrestle with each other, and also play in the big obstacle course that kind of looked like something that would be at a McDonald’s playland, only bigger.

A big attraction there was a harness that you put on which was connected to a bungee cord; you were supposed to run as far as you could without getting pulled back. I didn’t get that far.

The Gladiator arena was cool, too; people were falling over left and right. The best part? I didn’t see one person without a smile on their face. You really can’t beat that.

There were plenty of couples on dates there that night as well. Many of my married friends attend these kinds of places. The indoor trampoline parks have become really popular here in the Phoneix area where I live. Probably because it is a great place to go when it is a million degrees outside during summer.

Other Fun Center Chains

A new Fat Cats opened up near me. They have movie theaters, video games, bowling, indoor mini-golf and other kinds of cool things to do.

Another cool place to go to is a place called Main Event. They are a national chain of fun centers with several locations across the United States. There are three locations here in the Phoenix valley where I live. The activities they have are bowling, billiards, arcade games, gravity ropes, karaoke, mini-golf, rock climbing, and virtual reality. I recently went to one for a combined bachelor and bachelorette party. It was awesome.
