Go to a Comedy Club

Another of my favorite date ideas is to go to a comedy club. Comedy clubs are excellent for first dates, as well as group dates, or even if you have been married for twenty years. The tickets are usually very reasonable, often between $8 and $10 per person.

As far as content goes, the ones I have gone to were family-friendly. I am sure there are a variety of clubs out there that would suit your particular taste, just do a little research online.

What you need for this comedy club date idea:

You need to find out where the clubs are, which should be easy with a simple internet search. It is always a good idea to call and make reservations.

Some nights they sell out, and it wouldn’t be a very fun date if you waited in line for only to find out that they were full. Are you planning on eating beforehand or after? Maybe you can pair this idea with another date idea like making dinner for your date.

My experience with this date idea:

I have taken girls to comedy clubs on many occasions. For most of them, it was a first time experience. And it seemed to be a hit, as all of them told me afterward that they had a ton of fun. Of course, it was fun, who doesn’t like a good laugh once in a while?

Recently I took a girl named Emily to a comedy club called Jesterz. This place is a unique type of comedy experience. Instead of just sitting and laughing at the jokes of a comedian on stage, the audience gives suggestions to the comedians, who in turn make up some sort of funny scene right there on the spot.

The audience participation is what makes this place awesome. So Emily and I went and enjoyed an awesome show. Afterward, we went to a park and walked around the lake and talked. A perfect first date.

So if you are looking for some laughs and want to do something different for a date night, go to a comedy club!
