Some areas of the United States, along with other parts of the world, have some very intriguing natural hot springs that are excellent for a date. You can do it day or night, just as long as you know where they are. Hot springs are not usually an easy thing to get to, and some hiking will probably be involved, but it’s worth it. And the only cost for this cheap date idea is the gas to get there unless there is an entry fee.
Nature’s hot tub is a good way to describe these pools of goodness. Iceland is actually famous for its hot springs; they attract people from all over the world. Now I’m not suggesting you have to go to Iceland to find some, although that would be quite the date to remember. If you don’t already know where a hot spring is, you can find one close to you with a simple search on the web. The biggest draw about this awesome date is that it’s more adventurous than using the classic, boring, residential-style hot tub.
You can find very secluded ones out in the wilderness, or go to the large public ones that require a fee to get in. Either way, it is bound to be a fun time.

What you need for this hot springs cheap date idea:
This is another free date, besides the gas money, unless you choose to go to a tourist attraction hot spring where you pay to get in. Those aren’t as adventurous, in my opinion; they’re set up like swimming pools and are way more crowded and touristy, but they can definitely still be enjoyable. Depending on the location of the springs, you could sit in the water and look up at the stars, listen to the wildlife, and maybe even tell a scary story or two.
Transportation is all you need for this date. Type in the address on your smartphone and be on your way. If you go at nighttime make sure to have flashlights. And what is a good adventure without food? Make sure to pack something yummy, and don’t ever forget the treats. My commentary on this cheap date idea:

In the past, I have always gone to hot springs with family or friends. The one in Ouray, Colorado is really nice, but it’s one of those pay-to-enter places and is more like a swimming pool heated by the spring. Still, the mountain scenery around the hot spring is incredible.
There are several hot springs here in Arizona where I live. One popular location is the Verde Hot Spring, near Camp Verde. I was invited to go with a group to this hot spring, but unfortunately, I was not able to go. I was jealous when I heard the stories of the wondrous place. And not to mention I missed out on meeting the cute girls that went on the trip.
It is actually quite an adventure to get to that location. The hiking trail is not clearly marked, and you have to ford the river or bring a raft or tube to get across. But even with the sketchy journey, from the stories I heard, the hot springs are well worth the effort.

Nature’s Hot Tub
Hot tubs are a very popular thing in America. And when you take the beauty of nature and the warm soothing sensation of water, you have a recipe for a fun, relaxing evening with a touch of adventure. Bring a special someone and make it romantic, or bring a group of couples for more fun!
If you want to be really creative, you could even bring candles and set them around the hot spring to provide some mood lighting. Have fun with it!
